Temple Run is the smash hit game currently taking the mobile gaming world by storm. After a slow start – released as a 99¢ iPhone game back in August 2011 – just a few weeks later the developers made the decision to adopt the “freemium” model. They gave the game away for free, with the option to buy in-game coins for real money. Almost instantly, revenues quadrupled and suddenly Angry Birds had a rival for the top spot in the App Store charts!
